About Me

Tri Tolar, MS, LPC

Therapist / Licensed Professional Counselor (Texas #75691) – She/her/hers

I have 7 years of experience providing individual and group psychotherapy to clients with diverse culture, ethnicity, religious/spiritual beliefs, sexual orientation, and gender identity/expressions. My counseling approach is culturally-sensitive; taking into consideration the unique cultural experiences, worldviews, traumas, and life experiences of each individual. In working with clients I typically use person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and system theory. I am trained in and practicing EMDR to help clients moving past traumas as well as modifying their maladaptive core beliefs. I am also trained in Gottman Method Level 1 and 2 to help couples have healthy relationship and resolve conflict.

I currently live in Denton County, Texas with my husband, daughter, and dog. In my free time I love cooking, entertaining friends and family, reading, taking long walks, and running.
